![]() ![]() And the actual macro list ATM is very basic. We need a means to sort out some of the things that never make it to Corel's feature list. If Corel gave us a young kid that was super keen and good and putting things together, specifically macros, I'd pay to be in that. I'm looking at the macros to see what could be adapted to copy a compatible file type to the clipboard.Įven though I'm not doing much work in Draw ATM and that would put me in an "not upgrading this year" cycle, I'd pay the subscription to be in a forum with a Corel developer. If we are going to have this discussion then we could define what would make that worth it. ![]() Under what conditions would we be willing to pay that fee? That would be the point when the feedback is most real.Īs to this cost factor of the subscription. What features would you like your payment to contribute to? Your purchase enables us to enrich the feature set. ask the customer what they want that money spent on. Here's a good idea Corel will never implement. Corel may not feel the impact of their pricing for a few/several years. What ended up driving some companies was getting new computers running newer OSs. It's easy, with the cost increase at Corel to just keep using an older version or simply switch. Part of the point to the ramble is that there is a great amount of work that people do in CD that many lower-cost, perpetually licensed or OpenSource applications could really be used. What I kept are mostly QXP jobs I had greatly automated and a single client using VD. Unfortunately, I also had a stroke in 2019 so I gave most client work to other shops I've done work for in the past. By 2019, my ID client work mostly went all to QXP, so about 90% with the rest using VD. By 2016, 4 years post Adobe CC, that ratio pretty much flipped with X number more clients using Viva Designer. In 2012, my work was about a 60/40 split ID/QXP (with VD once or twice a year for a single European client). Which I use is either up to the client or my choice if not specified. I also use ID and Viva Designer for layout work. Vector drawing is supportive of that endeavor, as is image editing. There are some image editing functions, such as sharpen/unsharp mask, rudimentary color adjustments, a base set of filters (Gaussian blur, b/w, etc.). Vector drawing inside of QXP is limited (basic pen tool, combine/split shapes, etc.). Quark has no stand-alone image editor nor vector drawing application. ![]()
